Clio 200 odd alarm issue.

Thread title may not actually be correct - but on occasion - 30-35% of the time...

...I open the door to be met by 4 audible beeps from the car, fairly loud too. Anyone aware of this?

Think it means its gonna self destruct.. or is that 3 beeps can not remember

Are you disarming the alarm and then opening the door within a very short period of time?

Don't think so - just jump out, double press the button on the handle and off I go...

Aftermarket HU? Mine does it. No idea why.

All Standard. Got RS Monitor though.

It's when I return to it - unlock and BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP - then all as normal.

I think its if you unlock the car, and open the door in a very short space of time.

Mine does this too, if I open the door too quickly after unlocking, no idea why :-/

It usually means its gone off. Its in the manual. Different bleeps mean different things

You're opening the door too quickly after unlocking it. Mine does it too.

The Mk2s are worse, the alarm properly goes off if you open it too quickly on them.

Yeah I did this earlier! Unlocked it and pretty much straight away opened the door...then all hell broke loose as the alarm went off! Also seems sensitive to if I get out and lock it too soon after closing the door too...gives me some warning beeps.

Yep, its this. The alarm hasn't disarmed properly or something. Because its French.
