Clio buying advice

I've already posted this thread...

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2913813

This car is for sale on Piston Heads (obviously!!!)

It's up for £4k, which is a good price but as you can see from the pic, it needs some (minor) bodywork repairs. Now how much would that set me back? I'd also like to know how much a service is (approx. 60k miles) and 1 years tax. The MOT is fine as he's willing to wack 12mths on it but they're no more than £50 (providing there isn't anything wrong with the car).

Advice please...

Buy a mint one and save the hassle.. if theres that damage to the front, what else is there that the seller isn't telling you?

60k service is a basic one, 140 - 170 quid from an independant

A years tax is 205 atm I believe

damo dont do it m8! u have the dosh to buy a newer and better condition 1 than that! be patient and wait for the 182 depreciation curve to finish! u can pick up bargain 182s now!!!

I wont be waiting that long mate. I have however found a lovely silver 172 for a good price near to where I work :) I just wanted to know whether or not buying it for what would be £1,500 less is worth it or would I be spending that putting it back to its former glory.

Btw, I didn't know you were on here!!! Haha!

sod that, dont go silver m8! thats totally not ur style! BLACK is u! u've not had anything but black cars for like the last 4 cars uve had! + silver is my colour :p

I'm getting fed up of making black cars look clean. Now that I'm doing 80 miles a day (for work), keeping a black car in tip top condition is just not going to work. Anyway, I love the silver on the outside and black on the inside :)
