CLio Cd Changer (alpine)

Ive got a Alpine Cd changer that came with the clio as standard.

Im told i can only get an alpine headunit so that it will work with it is this true?

If it is will any alpine headunit work with it cuz ive found a couple i like

The standard clio cd changer will not work with aftermarket head units as far as I know.

There were a few old topics about this, so do a search and a few should come up.

thats really a bit crap i wanted to keep my cd-changer i thought it would just work with any headunit that supported Cd-changers

Nope it will only work with the renault hu.

I think the std. changer is a M-bus changer, anyway it was on my mk2 ph1 and if it´s a Alpine you can get a M-bus to Ai-net so it might work with a alpine H/U. Not sure but Alpine would defo know if you write a mail and ask them.

if, as Michael says, its an M-Bus changer you might be in luck, but in general OE changers dont work with anything but the OE head unit

general rule with cd changers is that they have to be hooked up to the same make of HU and in some cases also use the same connection system as some manufacturers have changed theres to somethin new

In the Alpine website there is a Ai-NET / M-BUS adapter. Could this adapter help to connect the OEM cd changer to a Alpine hu???
