  172cup
don't be gay... get a cup. You know you wanna lol

Look out for:

broken gear change surrounds...
split rubber grips on steering wheel...
knocking on front struts when cornering
noisy/rattly exhaust centre section
cup badges on pillar (many missing)

None of these are terrible... just common complaints/gripes. If you can find one without the above, then you'll be laughing.

Apart from the above theres not much goes wrong with em.

  172cup
also... with tht ewinter having just kind of passed... look specifically for front end damage. Lots of people will have stacked em (lack of ABS) on the icy roads... fixed them up... and now selling them on!

Look for inner wheel arches split/missing.... scrapes to bumper... front splitter in 1 piece etc etc

thanks very much for your help any more tips apreciated

so are they alittle tempromental?
surly all of the items abouve will be under warrenty??? engine mounts etc!

  172cup
yeah all under warrenty... but renault tend not to fix the problem in hand. Takes numerous attampts... so best off doing it yourself.

They are not temprimental.... just incompetent drivers so go too fast and lock the wheels ramming into a kerb at 60mph head on lol (ah... that'll be me then)

currently looking at Ant1's in the for sale forum
noticed that doesnt have the cup badge on the piller???

looks a very very clean example from the pics though,
set of brembos would finish it of lovly!ha

  172cup
TBH.... i'd go for standard. Unless your plans are to mod mod mod... then i'd deffo go standard,. and do what you want to do to it then.

ie minimal changes such as.... silvervisions... clear repeaters.... tints... etc etc

if buyin a cup , dont buy an ex demonstrator 1 , thet r well thrashed by every1:( might still b able to buy a new 1??
