Your options are wossner or pec pistons. After that your into custom made pistons and that will blow your budget! Other than that, steel rods and arp fasteners ie, rod bolts an stud and nut kit on the mains and head.

Only Americans think there is no replacement for displacement, everyone else knows better! ;)

Stick to 83mm max

stock head set from reinz £60
84.5mm gasket on its own from cometic or anthena £120 and they're both a bit nasty

Didn't you build Baroon/Bazoons car Fred, it was quite fruity with the overbore, Its basically free torque for very little spend.

I have heard the oem gasket is brilliant which would read true having never seen a knackered head gasket yet.

rebuilt it after the first company royally fucked it up, TWICE

no thermostat to head side gasket - silicone
no oil pump cover gasket - silicone
84mm pistons, but had a stock headgasket (thats less than 84mm BTW)
no locating dowels in gearbox so the box moved when you lifted the clutch
crank shimmed too far towards the gearbox so oil pissed out the crank seals on both sides
valve collet found in oil pump pickup mesh
inlet siliconed to head
valve stem seals fitted with a chisel

engine had done 273miles
more oil leaks than the exxon valdez

it does go well, but i don't think the extra to go to 84mm is worth it, maybe 5hp/5ftlbs over and 83mm

Whats wrong with silicone then ;)

I was reading that waiting for silicone used for head gasket haha.

Yeah its maybe not worth it for reliability but I hope my next engine will rev to the moon anyway so rebuilds will be necessary.

were then went bust, operating under another name now i believe, just a rush job, about £200 in parts and a bit of care and it would've been fine instead the owner gets lumped with a big bill :(
