clio cup, is yours noisy

hi, my cup seems a little noisy when giving it revs, sounds like exhaust, doesnt sound bad, sounds more of a growl than anything, its got standard exhaust and i have now put standard box back on for summer, i do have a panel filter though. how does everyone elses sound ??

thx in advance

yeh as i say its not a bad sound, more throaty than anything, but just neede to make sure as its going for service soon and in compiling a list of fixes lol

are you saying it has just got noisy?

if so i would check your rear hanger rubber this happened to mine that the rubber broke and my exhaust was almost supporting itself until it slowly pulled away from itself and tore behind the back box

Mine is has a beasty grunt - combination of the Magnex and Panel Filter.

However, does yours creak?

Mine does whenever I or the missus get in or out... I weigh 11stone, and she weighs 9stone - so hardly overweight!

Unless it sounds like loose nuts in a galvanised bucket sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle, it is probably quite normal.

hi, no its not got noisy its always been that way, it just gets failry grunty on cam, definately doesnt sound like loose bolts, just a character then i think, i just wondered if exhaust might be blowing, but i checked it and all was ok

thanks

everyone

I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of induction noise my Cup made - for a stock car at least.

Certainly a plus point as a lot of modern cars are just too damn quiet and refined IMHO.

Try stripping all the interior out and having an aftermarket zorst.. thats noisy :) or you could just be Big Iain for a day :p
