clio cup racer roof scoop?

the ones on the 197/200, whats the point in them? they cant make it more aerodynamic can they? a big thing sticking out of the roof would just make drag wouldn't it? are they just for show and looks?

I'm guessing resale value doesn't mean much to you then? Doesn't this require you losing the rear seats? Maybe your insurance will drop with this safety feature and the car becoming a 2 seater!!

Well it's only bolt in it's not welded in and my insurance said they are going to give mr a 100 quid refund when I renew because it's safer with the cage in
