CLIO DCI 100BHP

Hi everyone

Just had the above re-mapped by Angel Tuning and it is like a different car!!

Its has much more urgency about it now and pulls much harder in all gears 4th and 5th! A recent long trip really demonstrated the difference, I have a friend with a Fabia VRS and there was hardly anything in it going up a slip road and on to motorway where before he was passing me up the slip road!

Really impressed car pulls hard in all gears, The guy at Angel said his map puts the car to between 130-135bhp and it really shows!!

recently did a 200 mile motorway run at a steady 80 with a few bursts and the odd hard accelerating and got 52mpg!

Well impressed overall!!

Anyone thinking about it do it !! and the best bit I only paid £295 as I reccommended a friend who also has the re-map on his Audi!! BARGAIN! when you consider Superchips want £511!!

What I don't understand is why they don't have a standard 130 hp engine for the Clio. Fabia has it, Ibiza, Polo, ...

Poor engine. Its really not build to produce that kind of power - specially not the gearbox. And the turbo most be tuned hard aswell.

I hope I dont get reliability issues, but it is fantastic at the moment!!
The torque is excellent too very hard surge!
The car has 30,000 miles on it and never ever gone wrong, its due its second service in 6k!
Should I get it services more often now it is re-mapped?

Its only a 1.5 in the CLio and at 100hp its like a 130hp 1.9. The 1.9 a bit bit for a Clio plus no realy suitable gearboxes.

Its not a poor engine its superb realy. Gearbox on the 100 is a bit poor though. Turbos not tunned its desinged for a purpose. The VAGs 130/150 run much higer boost but there designed for it. Just like this is designed for its job.

Should I get it services more often now it is re-mapped?

You should change the oil realy ever 6k anyway and change the gearbox oil ASAP for somehting better and ever 30k realy. Dpends how dedicated you are.
