Clio DCI Jerking

Yep, as the title says, when the Mrs accelerates the Clio glow plug light comes on and it jerks. Any ideas? It does it about 5 times a day on a 70 mile run but just worried about it... After this the light goes out its only on for about 10 secs
Any comments welcome

What speed, gear and revs does it happen?

Mostly first gear as it takes off, it will jerk and pull back like its going to cut out! Which can be a hazard if it does it at a roundabout!

thats the engine management light coming on. not sure if a clutch problem would bring the management light on. could be injector or fuel pump maybe?

Do you think a diagnostic plug in would pick up the problem?
