That'll easily do over 200! Mine was 192 without cams or the 182 mani!

Yeah Ali nice RR, mine will do whatever I want it to on the right rollers. Filter, map, exhaust, decat 190 bhp, lol :D

Did you fit forged con rods at the same time as the pistons?

point there isnt one, get standard ones balanced and stressed. forged ones are .5mm shorter, oh for boosted setups but makes a difference if your wanting a high compression engine.

can you clarify what you are saying i dont understand

forged rods + high compression makes a difference?

or forged rods on boosted makes a difference?

cheers

forged rod is slightly shorter, or in our experience anyway. thus making the volume of the chamber when the piston is at TDC larger, the aim of high compression is to get that small as possible.

ah ok, so having the slightly shorter rod is ideal for the high comp.

I think he's saying that having a longer rod is better for high comp. That would make more sense.

At the end of the day, i used a consistent RR and had a std figure of 169 and a modified figure of 192.6. I'll take that. For the record the V6 ran 255PS which is std...Coincidence or just a decent set of rollers...

which camshafts are you using? i would go for a complete 3" exhaust system with decat/sportscat and panel filter or itbs/jms-inlet!

Damn there's a fair bit of negativity in this thread, i say fair play to you for modding and enjoying the fruits of your labour. I personally wouldnt get too fixated on figures im sure it goes like stink. The rs tuner gives bhp at the wheels and the results will be tough to rely on without having your car weighed. Also if your running 15's figures will be distorted as its assumes your running 16's.
