the rocker cover then decided to leak, and after multiple trips to garages and few £££ later i decided to tackle it myself to find the rocker cover had a hair line crack in. (garage didnt notice)

i know its not the best project thread but just thought i would share :')

  Never above 25mpg
Tints make it look like a van. Why raise the bonnet? Looks like you've had a shunt at the front!

The black tinted rear lights cheapen it.

I do like the alloys though! Recommend colour coding and tyre gel ;)

  clio 1.2 2001 STD
to be honest i was never too sure on the window tints myself. but they can easily bee removed. and the reason for the rear lights being tinted is when they where red they stood out like a sore thumb. as for raising the bonnet. my friend had some spacers and we thought f*ck it why not.

Remove tints and the rear lights, Not keen on bonnet raisers. Dewiper the rear, slam it and you will be onto a winner, i also think the dynamique wheels in silver look better, Its yor car though so do it how you want :)

Completely agree, looks much better as tinted if you ask me.
Not like a van at all, just a nice clean look, keep tints and lights.

I'd say de-wiper, lower a little and lose the stickerbombing, thats the only thing I dont really like. Oh, not to mention colour code the trim

  Grande 1.2
what happened to the orange?? ha I like ;)

I like what you have done, but i think some colour is needed to break it up a bit, maybe the mk2 lights back to standard?? or carbon spoiler, or badge??

i think what im going to do is take maybe 2 coats of the lights. leave the tints and remove bonet raiser. as for rear whiper thats staying as my dads house is out in the coutry so dust everytwhere.

suprised no one has said rs grill by now
Thats next on the shopping list ;)

there where too many haters. i gave in to pear pressure and re-sprayed them :p yeah i might go for a more suttle way of adding colour. not as extreme as before. maybe just simple pin stripes on the wheels maybe yellow tint fogs etc

hmmm, tyre dressing firstly.

remove those rear lights.

lower her.

sorted.
what do you mean by tyre dressing? and there seems to be a theme with the lights. maybe a few coats will need to be removed

whay someone that agrees :') ahah and i like the sticker bombing. looks better in person and makes it less dull. anyone know a ruff price for colour coding?

Not a fan of the cat-D van look personally...:

:dead:

Tyre shine - it makes your tyres .. er .. shine. Very much needed with black wheels.

The picture doesn't do the tints any justice. there not as dark in person compared to the picture and if they said tyre shine i would of gathered...

This. Don't like the bonnet, tints, black lights or silly stickers.

Was a nice car. Black alloys aren't too bad but there's too much black.

sam ei live in the country and its dusty... you dont need a rear window to drive a car and i doubt you can see much with those tints ;) , It wont get that dusty i know.

  clio 1.2 2001 STD
the rear window is only 50% tinted and if u had to reverse down his drive u would know where im coming from :L

  Inferno 182
Was thinking about tiniting my rear lights black because they looked really nice on my old fiesta mk6, but now i know they don't look that nice on clio's :/

Whats wrong with the van look?? Lol.
I'd add a bit if colour to it, maybe on the wheels and little bits like bullets, lights Im not so sure on but the rest looks alright to me :)

  clio 1.2 2001 STD
right listened to some of yor advice and removed the light tint. i actually think it makes the car look loads better now. i hated it before i tinted it but now i love it withough. (maybe because i realise how much it killed the car)
IMG00038-20110809-1811.jpgIMG00039-20110809-1811.jpg

also spent a hour cleaning engine bay
IMG00040-20110809-1811.jpg

also fitted my omp tow eye and tinted foggs. im not to sure atm if i like them so honest opinions would be great

IMG00036-20110842-2008.jpg

any other ideas or things to change? i dont mind constructive criticism :rasp:

rs grill , Lower it, Im not a fan of black wheels on a black car, I would have them silver the look better IMO. loads better without the light tints.

  clio 1.2 2001 STD
the wheels where only sprayed black as where badly burbed. im saving for some cup alloys atm. once i have them i will be lowering it. just hard trying to save money when your insurance robs you £260 a month. i only get paid just over £500 and petrol still has to come out of that a day to day living. oh the joys of being a student lol.

fogs look good what did u use 2 do it ?

some clear indicators would look ace. but even the black ones you have are way better than the egg yolks :L
Also i think maybe some centre caps for the wheels (with the renault badge sprayed silver) would make a subtle touch.

I think the standard lights look nicer, but if you liked the rear lights you should have kept them (that goes for the orangeness too) ;) dont give into peer pressure haha!

you will always find mixed opinions on here mate. nobody likes my carbon bonnet!! haha its staying though

Not a massive fan I'm sorry mate. And the tow eyes don't suit the non-sport bumpers IMO
But hey it's your car not mine..
