Clio hunting

over the past two weekends ive been in search of buying a second hand clio. i've seen plenty i like. i just wondered if anybody could advise me on the correct sort of price is good enough. the two i've got my eye on at the moment is;
gold clio sport 1.216v t-reg i think 58,000 miles 3dr at £3655 remote central locking

silver clio grande 3dr y reg £3295 alarm

the two above are from what i could remember or found out about them.
im looking price wise 3000 max and looking for a 1.2 t reg on clio from 1998 up.

For about 3k you should be able to get something newer than a t reg imo, the 1.2 16v new shape on a y reg should fall in that bracket. Have you tried searchin the ad's on Autotrader, pistonheads.com and ebay (i know...but theres bargins to be had)? What about an auction?

as danny said you should be looking around a y reg for the money. i paid £4000 8 months ago for a 51 plate 1.2 16v with 37000 on the clock, has aircon as well which was a nice bonus.

Definetily try and get a phase 2 for that sort of money mabye add a litle bit more

Its worth saving up a little bit extra and trying to get a phase 2 dynamique or extreme.
