Hi and welcome to my Progress thread

I Currently own a MK2 PH1 renault clio , built in 2001
the colour code is mv 632.


I bought the car in march 2013 as my first car and have done some mods/improvements to the car since then. i also added some mechanical parts suck as...
new anti roll bar bushes, new track rod ends, new bottom ball joints, new disks, new pads, new drums and shoes on the rear. and more


First off is the...

INTERIOR MODS


The first thing i did was get rid of the kenwood cd player that the car came with and replace it with a ripspeed dv720 CD/DVD player with a 7" screen.

I Also uprated the door speakers in the front and back
Front Lanzar speakers

Rear Bose speakers

infiniti 6x9 speakers on parcel shelf and Fusion powerplant 800w subwoofer and matching fusion amplifier.

I also added seat covers and matching floor mats untill i get my seats proffesionaly re trimmed in leather.

Then i added 3 LED rocker switches to the headlight adjuster panel, and also an LED for my clifford alarm system.

I then wired up a 30 cm blue LED strip under both front seats to one of the rocker switches.

After this I added a 1 meter strip to the inside of the boot and wired it to the existing bootlight which also has a 9LED festoon bulb in it.

And now for the EXTERIOR MODS

i reburbished my alloy wheels that were chipped to bits! ,and also painted my rear drums and front callipers.

added tinted windows

I added a towstrap

new angel eye headlights in black

new blue metal flake badge set

fog lights (with film tint)

new aero wipers

clio windscreen sticker

blue LED window washer jets in chrome. (don't look that bad, pic doesn't do them justice)

Wind deflectors , team heko

De- window wipered on the rear and painted gloss black with a grommet.

Pressed registration plates

Colour coded boot catch and side strips

New sport spoiler

Chrome exhaust tip

PH2 rear lights with tinted middle parts that i cut out for them.

new KDC carbon fibre mirrors and i colour coded the baseplates for them.

clear side repeaters

UNDER THE HOOD
Added some blue stuff and thats it so far becides the stickers.

VERY SOON!
i will be doing the following to the car.

k&n induction kit
lowering the car 60mm all round on gmax springs
adding 8000k HID headlights
Carbon wrapping the b posts ( the door post between the front and back windows)
carbon wrapping the interior windscreen pillars

i plan on also de- cating the car after its MOT

and i carbon wrapped the back half of my exterior door strips and also did my interior windscreen pillars ill get pics up by tomorrow

Good choice on removing the stickers imo, I would've also kept the door strips colour coded as well but that's just my thoughts I guess. Pretty good start so I look forward to seeing what else is done with this in the future!

i will probably paint them again as i plan on a sport front bumper with wings and sideskirts and a phase 2 rear bumper which will need painting too theyre just wrapped because the clio stickers pulled some paint off them

anyone advise me on how to get a smooth paint finish on the rough bumper strip surface? will filler primer work? as ive never used it :/
