clio mods

  Golf GTI 1.8T
are there mk3's on the road now?? I wouldn't even bother with coilovers, for the money I'm well impressed with the apex kit I've got now! Get a panel filter for a bit more rasp of full K&N 57i if you wanna go a bit louder, and an exhaust if you wanna attract attention to yourself and get annoyed from droneing on the motorway!

whats better for perfomance, a panel filter or a induction kit e.g k&n 57i thats cost around 70 quid. whats better for a 1.2 16v

nothing you do to a 1.2 other than suspension and brakes is really gonna give you any noticeable benefit. a k&n and a nice exhaust will make u think its faster and it'll sound better

so is there not much point in getting a panel filter nor a k&n induction filter . they just give sound.

I had, actually still have a 1.2 clio, Mark1 Phase3 Nov '96....I dropped it and got sum wheels, SS exhaust...basic stuff i guess. But it did make it look and sound better.

Ive now got a 1.6 16v dynamique that im lookin to mod.

whats your 1.6 16v dynamique like? is it worth gettin 1 ov them rather than saving up for a 172?

Well i have driven a 172 and i was very impressed. But i also really like my 1.6 16...it looks good, interior nice and can also be found in the 182. Its obviously not as quick as a 172 or 182 but i really rate this car. I love it and im pleased i got it.

So basically i would recommend this car to anyone who likes clios and cant afford to buy/run faster models.

  Seat Altea XL
I got a DCI 65, yeah its a diesel, but its economical as anything and still has decent-ish performance! Had been thinking about getting a tuning box for it to get it up to about 80ish HP, but sum1 told me that the engines dont last when you chip or tune them, anyone any ideas about this??

I had the 1.6 16v Dynamique before getting a 182, there a nice car. Good comprimise of power/handling/MPG etc.

But it doesn't compare to a 182, holds the road better, much better gear change, better brakes, faster etc etc etc.

Best thing to do with the 1.2 is lose as much weight out of it as possible, this way your power to weight ratio raises without you spending any money. No filter/exhaust etc is going to give you any power worth noting on the 1.2.

  Chocolate Bar™
i've got a viper on my 1.2, it has made it feel more responsive, and defo get coilovers, well worth the money :)
