I would put the blue back on until you get the silver one sprayed. Unless its a rusty mess but has to look better then the silver one.
Makes me think you have had a smash and had to find some new panels or the car is a mini cab.
Love the snow comment. You move the seats forward a couple of clicks to move the weight as well don't you.

alloy bonnets are awesome. I had forgot all about them, never been so amused when I went to fill up my screen wash on my ph1 for the first time
