Clio Tappets

Car  A3 1.8T
Has the Clio got Hydraulic Tappets, have got terrbile noise coming from the engine. Seems like tappet noise.

The car is 2000 Mk2 Ph1 1.4 16V SI
 
Ok cheers, got a feeling the buggers aren't getting any oil or holding the oil right.
