So I'm selling my cup to make way for a new car, I've been looking around for a diesel, most probably a fabia vrs but it seems people want mental money for cars with 100k+ on them.
This gives me a problem as I don't want to be shelling out for something with a million miles on for nearly £5k. So I stupidly spent last night searching through pistonheads at the latest clio trophy offerings. I've noticed they've dipped below the £5k mark, hence why when my old trophy blew up I saw no financial sense in repairing it for it to be worth less in the long run.
I did however love 007/500 and have never quite experienced another car that handles in the way that it did. I've had 3 clio sports now, a ph1, trophy and now the cup. The cup has been a brilliant reliable car but now I'm wondering once it's gone should I tempt fate and purchase another trophy?
What are people's thoughts and the general condition of trophys lurking around the £5k mark?
