clio williams outside temp guage

the digital readout has packed up but occasionally flashes on and off when going over bumps in the road. Is it a big job to fix? i dont have a manual and would appreciate a diagram of how to remove the dashboard to get at it. Has anyone had any experience with this problem before?

The sensor is in the pass side wing mirror. there is prob a loose wire in there. Check that first just remove the glass or the whole mirror and check the wirering loom for loose conection. Sounds like a loose connection due to working on bumps ect.

Thanks Leigh just seen your reply will have a look next week, Probably stupid question but how do you get inside it? do you just pull the back off or somthink?

You can remove the cover on the back of the mirror casing. However they have clips that are a bit fragile, So I find its easier to check the wiring by removing the blanking plate on the inside of the door (triangle shape bit) that will give u access to the nuts that hold the mirror casing on. There will be a wiring loom that goes to the mirror !! Check that that hasnt come loose.

Do you mirrors clear when you put your heated rear screen on ?

If not then its prob the wire come loose.
