ok russ for me to drive and enjoy more i need rear wheel drive pure and simple so if you ask me to pick a car as cheap as a williams i cant can i as rear steer costs more now.
so of its generation, sierra cossie, M3 that sort of thing, i would get so much more pleasure from them than i ever would from any fwd let a lone a williams.
this is why i have a v6 no its not the fastest car ever built or the best handling car ever built, but if you put the effort in it is a better drive imho and for 23k brand new what choice was there????

no , its the williams is average in the big scheme of the cars avialable, its just that you all seem to be stuck in such a small pool with no vision of what is beyond that.
there are better drives out there, i have an E30 track car and for a trackday i would pick it over a williams every time, it may or may not be as fast i dont care its a much better drive.
i know you guys just cant believe i am being honest and that you cant believe any car could be better than a williams but i disagree, i think as a drive they are bland.
yes agreed they are good cheap fun and they are quick a perfect little track car,, but please lets not go overboard it is what it is no more.
for the same money and much cheaper i could and would buy an old E30 325i not for outright pace but because for smiles per miles its more fun.
plus if you want to tune it drop an old e36 m3 evo motor in and its goodnight williams for sure.
Tight corners especially. There is no denying that a williams will carry more speed through the corner. end of
EVO tested the willy and the 172mk2 when it came out
Shockingly the 172 braked quicker, handled better and faster round a track and was quicker to 60 and 100mph.It also pulled more G's through a corner.
steVee said:where did i say that, is this the point were reason goes out of the window and the keyboard warriors shout loudest.
its not about the V6 never was thejesus brought the V6 into the argument trying to be snide as ever.
all i said and you can quote me on this is, the williams is very average and thats my honest opinion.
Dear me this thread has gone completely off the point.
There are folk who champion the williams no matter what, there are folk who champion the vee. There are folk who like one or the other, there are some who don't like either.
That's just life.
Can this pile of cack be locked now please ?

I think the only person shouting the loudest is you my outspoken narrow minded little friend. You're deluded and arrogant enough to think you have a valid arguement and point, yet fail to see the glaring flaws.
What does winning races have to do with a road car, or should we get a standard road car and put it up against some DTM cars. "Yeah, s**t those Williams mate, got beaten by a exec saloon. What an average car"
It's a 2.0 N/A FWD hatch, on a grander scale it's s**t, but then I suppose so is a Ferrari 355F1. For a FWD production 2.0 it's still one of the best even now, show me these facts you speak of to say otherwise? Saying it's not one races wont cut it either, lets try and stay focused on the premise that we are still talking about a road car that was released in 1993.
Are there better cars? Yeah of course, but there's a fair few out there, but for a hot hatch it's still one of the best even now. Most people will say your a minority in this discussion, any review would also disagree with your weakly presented assessment.
Lets now compare a V6 to cars in it's class, which using your broad spectrum of analysis would be... ooh, anything rear wheel powered. Actually, don't really need to be too analytical here. It's w**k. Fact.

first did not bother with the video not interested.
second I am not your friend, I find you a rather unpleasant ignorant and worthless plank tbh and as I said as soon as you shot your mouth off how long will it be before the conversation descends into your usual snide back biting and personal remarks.
well not long eh one post.
not going to bother with discussing your points as you seem far to thick to follow the flow, your just not worth bothering with.
for a car to be called a legend it surely has to achieve something that puts it above ALL of the others, escorts did in there day minis did in there day the williams clio has achieved nothing.
on that basis i say its just an average car, cheap fun and thats it nothing more, and to me the drive is nothing special its bland understeering boredom.
