Clio1 1.4 Phase1/Pase2 Differences

I noticed a 1.4 clio (prosume an RT) in a car park the other day. It was a phase 2 due to the distinguishable rounded headlights. I wouldt of noticed it but I spotted some 15s on it, that look like the same as the 16v alloys. But when looking inside it had the dash extension (like the 16v and Williams) not only that but had leather again the same as the 16v. It had no exterior bodywork mods, wheelarches etc.

Question? Have all 1.4 Phase 2 Mk1 Clios got all this stuff standard. Myself a Phase 1 owner feel a bit gutted

my mates jus bought a phase 2 RT and i had a look compared to mine! the only differences i found were:

middle brake light in boot

dashboard extension

electric sunroof

rounded headlights

and the side repeaters dont av those wanky plastic bitz

Right, there were 3 phases for the mk1 Clio.

Phase 1 had naff rear headlights, no dash extension, push up sunroof, no leccy heated wing mirrors, different clocks style, different wing mirrors, different interior, "wanky plastic bitz" round side repeaters.

Phase 2, still with square front headlights, had nicer rounded rear headlights, tilt and slide manual sunroof (leccy option), leccy heated mirrors, rounder wing mirrors, dash extension, different interior, different style clocks, no "wanky plastic bitz", model recessed in bump strips.

Phase 3, with round front headlights, had dash same as phase 2, bar leccy sunroof standard I think, round headlight in boot (which looks naff IMO)

All clear now!!!!!

So the leather, was that an add-on? or did that change under the different interior of the phase 2.

Yeah leather was an option on all the phases i think, but i think it was cheaper to go for the special edition Bacarra that had leather and differerent alloys.

The Phase2 doesnt come with a middle brake light in the boot - maybe it has a different boot from original fitted??

Leather and aircon was opition on I think, heated front seats opition on phase 2/3.

Ive got a phase 3- ran on N, P and R reg before R reg went to mk2 bulbus shape

mines a phase 1 with tilt and slide sunroof, but it now has phase 2 rears lights and soon to have grill aswell. if its got rear light in boot its a phase 3 unless its had a bump and some one replaced it with phase 3 one. has it got round front lights.

Phase 2 also ran on early N!!! Mines a phase 2 on a 95 N reg
