Clio's and R5 Gt Turbo's..

The 5 is a nice car, my mate had one but the turbo kept on going.
You def had to look after the heart of that motor, ie, theTURBO.
Frequent oil changes and strict adherence to running down procedure paid dividends. ie turbo never cashed in.

hit the nail on the head there mate:)....look after the car and itll return the compliments in one way or the other!!!

i personly do adear to the warm up/down procedure, its the only way:cool:

gonna be looking forward to buying a 182 clio and turboing that in the not to distant future

Nothing's changed since the days of my youth.lol Back then we put twin cam mills in Ford Anglias[ mit Corsair front struts to replace the drum brakes] To say the handling was akin to a Tea Clipper going round Cape Horn would not be an exaggeration.

cheers mate, we just run our 5's constently at pod in our spare time, the other lad with the turbo'd 182 lump wants to enter totb eventuly, his aim this year however is to get into the 11 sec 1/4 mile with he'll do easy given the conditions are right, hes certainly got the power:cool:

Ones at FCS were Very quick! Some in the 5's.

there was indeed, fcs was the first run out for my RWD after the build, was very impressed:cool:

duncan with the vag powered 5 managed a 4.17 second 0-60 they we were pleased with:cool:
