hey people!!!!!

Me and the mrs are hoping to be married next year, we have just started planning. Now i know theres alot of camera enthusiasts on here, an i would rather pay one of use lot than a proffessional asking for stupid amounts of money, so i would like a photographer i could pay with a CS discount rate to be there for the day (free drinks an food included).

Secondly i want to arrive at the church in style and would like a V6 owner to drop me off to the church, so then i will look the part, I will obviously pay you to do all this. Im not to sure on how much i would pay, but i will look into it more and conferr it with yourselves, so we can both make an agreement. Anyway drop us a message or PM if your up for the job. I live in the kent area as well just to make you aware, so your not having to travel 300 millesss.

well just like to mention, that i have recieved my written price quote in email, an i will probably be having this car for the wedding day. just need a photographer now and then were getting there bit by bit, havent done too bad considering we only set the date the other day lol

Try this mate, we used them for our wedding. We were fed up with crazy prices, as all companys see the word wedding and add £100's of pounds to the price.
This company sent a guy out, he took loads of great photo's, very professional and then they send you all the pictures on a disc. None of this "the first 100 pictures are free" shite and then charge you an arm and both legs for the rest of the pictures. Check it out.

Unfortunately there is a reason why wedding photography is so expensive...

It is quite possibly (with the exception of being a Royal 'tog) the most stressful event a photographer can do. You are on the go for a minimum of 12 hours on the day so that you can capture everything from the bride getting ready to the last dance and everything in between. At a very reasonable £25 per hour, that is £300 before you start. A lot of wedding 'togs also spend time with the B&G before the day to find out what sort of shots they want, style, colours etc etc.
You only get ONE SHOT at a lot of the photos and have to spend countless hours sorting 1000+ images after the event and then further editing and expense of printing etc. You also need back up camera bodies, multiple lenses (from £1000 each) and flashguns, filters, batteries etc etc. £5k+ in kit needs to be paid for somehow.

You might find a 'mate' who has a fairly decent SLR who will do it for peanuts, but what will you do if he turns up and his camera malfunctions after 10 minutes ?

I am not trying to put you off, but you really do get what you pay for, unless you have a genuine wedding 'tog friend who can do mates' rates.


Enjoy your day though - it WILL be the best day of your life... (yes, even better than the day you sorted ALL the problems with your Clio )



EDIT - no offense, but a lot of those shots on ezeeweddingwotsit.com look very amateur to me... I guess they don't own flashguns !
