ClioSport.net Project Cars Time Trial Challenge - January

  mk1 Octavia VRS
I drove Cadwell for real yesterday so I'll have to have another go at this now. Still not sure how I'm going to make up the big gap though!

I really need to pull my finger out and give this a go.

Love the video ^

Got a 1:32 in last night. Can't remember the exact time tbh. Told my mate about the challenge and he's done a 1:30, pr*ck

1:32.043 - PC, G29 wheel, ABS on, everything else off. Having driven the track for real in the Clio recently did help a bit but I really can't get on with the 190E around this track. Cadwell is quite bumpy in places and the standard setup for this car is probably optimised for smooth German tracks - to really get the most from it I think I'd have to try and soften the springs and dampers. #racingdriverexcuses (!)

I think @Pearcy has the fastest time this month with a 1.27.818?

Did a .422 in the end, i do the one on pistonheads aswell sometimes and it was the same combo spookily enough!

Are we allowed to pick DLC cars or not?

A short track maybe? Find it much more fun trying to repeatedly nail a few corners, rather than slogging through a 1.30 plus track

Purpose of the guidelines is to try and make the CS TT challenge appeal to more people and it seems that most people (myself included) would prefer shorter tracks and sensible-ish cars. What's do you guys think about the updated guidelines below? (changes in bold)

Guidelines:
1. At the start of each month a track and car are chosen by the driver with the fastest time from the previous month. The track and car need to be chosen ASAP after the start of the month. If the same driver is fastest two months in a row then the track/car choice falls to the next fastest driver.
2. Keep to short tracks (<2.5 miles) so that it doesn't take too long to try and set a good time.
3. Keep to race cars with under 300bhp ish or any road car. DLC cars not allowed.
4. Times must be set in time trial mode, not free practice or any other mode.
5. Entries should include what platform, controller (wheel or pad) and options were used - i.e. ABS, traction control and stability control.
6. Entries to be backed up by leaderboard link, screenshot or video.

We need photos or it didn't happen. Simple as. People don't seem to be bothered really.

Looks good to me,

Or video with the time embedded.

not arsed about limiting the car as wouldn't mind the odd bit of variety as long as it's sensible.

the GT3 cars are fairly simple to drive (albeit boring :D)

Little bit late to the party but I thought I'd post my time up. I was trying this at the beginning of the month having just got the game, and I think I got a one-off time of 1:38 but couldn't get anywhere near that again! Been playing it for the last few evenings and starting to get the hang of it, realised you have to be a lot more 'aggressive' than you do on forza.

I did it in 'free practice' as my Internet is currently down so can't do time trial, but it was a clean lap! Using a controller and all the assists on. How Pearcy got a 1:27 I'll never know!
