ClioSport turbo special edition

Anyone heard of this??? Sounds like a V6 killer...I heard from a guy in France that there will be a limited edition of the Clio RS at the end of its time in 2005. It will have the 2litre Turbo engine of the megane RS, a 6 gear-box, 17" alloy wheels, cup suspension and from 0-100 km/h in 6,0 sec. Additionally bucket seats
full spoiler pack and... the price will be about 30.000 euro. Don´t
know if its true but soundw good or what do you think. Colours will be blue, yellow or black wqith full sponsor dress like the 206 RC

Id be interested to see them fit the Nissan box from Megane RS into the Clio... it wont fit.

Dont think the 6 speed box will fit easily.

Would be a good way of keeping the production rates up whilst people know its replacement is due.

But it sounds like its faster thn the V6 which is a problem as the fastest car in the range is usually the most prestigious and expensive. Put it this way BWM would never make a 3 series with more power than a M3. The onlt think the V6 would have going for it is the uniqness of it.

Cant see why Renault would spend all that development money on an end-of-the-line model. Theyre more likely to develop a new ultra-hot version of the new Clio so they can use it as a flagship for the new model range, due 2005 or 2006.

AFAIK they are planning a turbo version at somepoint but when is a mystery.

The turbo version will be the new shape Clio the one based on the Micra platform or chassic I forget which.

If you look hard enough at the badges on the pictures you can see the letters 2.0T on the side
