Club Lotus @ Castle Combe

I spent a gorgeous (free) morning down at Combe today, Club Lotus had booked the circuit and the paddock was full of pretty much every type of Lotus going, including my favourite car of all time...

Plenty of action on track, as well...

I think I might, not the greatest line-up and some unusually small grids for Combe, but probably still worth a day out.

Used it for 20mins in the morning, not too successful this time out though as it was so hot, stuck to the 1.4 for the rest of the morning. I think it will be more suited to the 90% of days when it's cold and wet.

Last shot shows that even the 1.4x was finding way too much heat haze, no reason why the car shouldn't be sharp but actually it's pretty 'wobbly' when viewed big.

I saw you (at least I think it would have been you) at Japfest recently and was on my way over to introduce myself... but got intercepted by a couple of people off our Club stand. By the time I'd finished talking you had moved on (on the rise/approach to Quarry).
