Coilover confusion......

  Cup Turbo, Flamer
hey guys, just bought myself a set of gaz coilovers for my cup and fitting them at the weekend!

I'm just wondering if there is any tips on how to set the damping up best? Is it just set them to the middle and trial and error from there?

Will a heavier damping setting at the back cause oversteer, hard at the front cause understeer? General tips and stuff will be greatful!

cheers!!

Set them up very firm.

However personally I'd sell them few people who have owned them have kept them long before the ride and poor dampers make them ant to sell up.

You want them at the softest setting required to control the spring
otherwise you run the risk of the car feeling very skittish.

Understeer and oversteer should be adjusted with spring rates not damper settings.

I had mine on the softest and they felt like jelly car was very unpredictable and felt unsafe, on the hardest setting they shattered my teeth and breast bones.

There is no in between with Gaz imho and I think they have even admitted to poor/no R&D for the RS Clios, take them back and get some H&R's if you can get your money back they are the bees knees or so they say on here
