Coilovers fitted...Remove Archlining??



  200 Ultra Red
Had my H&R coilovers fitted last week, and noticing that when I push it hard into corners the tyres are hitting the inside of the front arches.

Options are:

- Remove the arch linings - question - what are the negative points to doing this?

- Take the front up a little.

What are your thoughts, opinions, experiences...

Cut a whole in the top of the arch linings mate - A rectangle shape. Stop rubbing then and you still retain the arch linings.

Dont remove the linings - the protect the engine/pullys etc.

EDIT: i will get you a pic of my arches later when i get time so you know what i mean

Yeh mate - find out where the tyres are rubbing on the arch (you will be able to see due to marks from the tyres.)

take the arch lining out and just cut them up

f**k arch lining. went to the 'ring and on the way there & back most of it decided to escape on the motorway anyway. i had similar rubbing issued but it was on the bracket that joins the wing & bumper.

I just got the dremel out and cut the lip of it off. think there's a guide on there somewhere? if not i'll get some pics up later. totally solved all my arch rub problems.

Right... this is what i've done bud. hope it helps. Similar pictures to The Boosh really.. just my arch rub was caused by the tyre rubbing on the bracket (on hard cornering)

sorry the pic is so poor! hopefully if you can comapre it to the one above you can see what i've done. the only arch lining i've removed is the front section (it removed itself really :p)

Any excuse...

As you can see hardly 4X4 drive ride height ;) and no rubbage issues at all.

I can see that mine is actually rubbing part of the metalwork around where the bumper meets the wing. Only on real hard cornering and with a passenger tho.

Think thats the part Si is talking about Pablo. Out with the dremel, thats what I had to do
