Coilovers vs Shocks/Springs

Looking at worst case scenario for my crashbang noise from my car.

What would the better setup be?
Coil-overs or sandard Cup Shocks and Eibach Sportline Springs?

Is there any disadvantage of the package of the coilovers? What happens if one corner fails or gets damaged, would you have to get the whole coilover for that side?
Cost wise the coilovers are a better package all-round (i was looking at the Ktec ones http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2853&appid=2)

If any corner fails then you will have to replace the shock absorber wether its standard or a coilover.
