Coilpack 1.2

Hi,
Found out that I need a new coilpack for my 1.2. Just got 2 Q's.

Is it just the coilpack I should buy or the coilpack with the leads?
How do I go about fitting it?

Coilpack only comes with the leads attached IIRC. Parts4you or something similar were doing them for £50 last time I checked. As for fitting it's only four screws and a bit of twisting IIRC.

Yep as long as it's a 16v.

Yep, mines a 16v. Some of the pics I've seen only show the coil pack without the leads, they must be 172/182's.

Where abouts is the coilpack located?

Pull off the engine cover and it's the 4 leads going between the inlets. The wires go left to a small block behind/next to the oil filler cap which is screwed in and has one plug connection. That's what you want!

The 4 long plugs just pull out, and they'll be stiff but twist/pull wiggle they'll come. They're only attached to the spark plugs on the other end so not screwed in etc.

Yep, make sure you get them in the right order though, it's pretty self explanatoray when you see the new one.

Alright, gonna get searching for the coilpack and hopefully get it fitted this week.

I think I got one for around 28 quid from Eurocarparts, could try GSF if thats closer. Pay attention to the numbers on the leads.

Had a look on Eurocarparts yesterday but the ARC one for 28 quid is out of stock. Gonna give the Leeds branch a ring, see if they've got it.
