Colour-coded my door handles

It took a while but I've finally colour coded my door handles (with thanks to a mate who is an apprentice painter). And it was done using rattle cans! Have to say it is very rewarding doing it yourself and much cheaper.

You can see the texture slightly up close even though we smoothed them as much as possible when primered. But from afar they look standard. I'm really happy with the results. Took a while to fit the first one but the second one only took me 10 minutes as I knew what I was doing then.

Side strips and wing mirrors to be done next, and then moving on to the bumper inserts. A few pics of before and after:

it didn't stick at all. just left them shut. open them after each coat, but you don't need to keep them open when spraying.

Look good! I took mine apart when I sprayed mine so that the paint coverage was even and to minimize the risk of them sticking together!

Did you spray these all in one day or leave the paint to dry for 24 hours as it says on the cans?

did it over about 2 weeks, but not every day. a layer now and then and let it dry then come back to it a day or so later etc
