Colour Coding Quote

Got quoted £323 to colour code my Clio today.
Might not bother anyway, coz once its done he said that I cant jet wash my car as the paint come off!
Something to do with the bumpers being plastic.
Dont know if I should bother now
Do you think theres anyway around it, like getting some other bumpers that come on the 2.0 litre clios because Ive seen them colour coded.

LMAO, I had my whole car sprayed for £400 and that included they removing all the wings and bits to paint them off the car.

Try a local back street spray shop. They wanted £200 to code all the black trim on my vts which includes both bumpers and side strips. I never use a jet wash anyway, never takes the muck off properly, do it by hand, or use the shampoo brush and take care with the bumpers. Havent had it done yet by the way. Dont be lazy, get your bucket and sponge out!

Looks my quote is abit of a rip off then eh !
Its not the price that worrys me, its what he told me about the paint coming off if I jet wash my car.
Dont know if its worth it anymore

The paint on my Clio don´t come off, and I´ve jet washed it about 10 times when it has been realy dirty.

£323!!!!!

I got my valver bump strips and rear spioler colour coded for £80, then £50 for a flush boot. Mine was done properly aswell: plastic surface treated, primed, sprayed, the baked in the oven to set the paint. Definately try a back lane sprayer coz they live in the real world

Will have to shop around and get some more theories on this paint coming off.

well ive got mine done and the same guy who did such a pro job on mine would cost u about 250! but thats the front bumper, front splitter, sidestrips, door handles, rear bumper & spoiler!!!!

And thats a load of bollox about the jet washing!!! he would only say that if he wasnt gonna do a job he could trust!

Believe me mate, if he says that then u dont wanna do it with him anyways! and i think ive only used a jet washer on mine once (becoz i believe in gentle water and a sponge ) and nothing happened then. all u will have probs with is stone chips on the front bumper!!! but that would happen anyways.

Ive just had my Dynamique coded for £100, smoothed, cleaned, primed, painted and laquered. Look arounf mate, there are bargins to be had. Look for a painter that deals with trade rather than the public if you can, chances are thatll knock the price down substantially, Ill get some pics up of mine later this afternoon.

Hey, cheers, I look foward to the pictures!
When he advised of the power jet I thought he was being rather honest but what do I know!
He told me that when people bring in the cars for some sort of work that needs paint removing, he uses a jet wash!
Oh I dont know! Ill shop around!
Anyone got any good contacts in and around Huddersfield/West Yorkshire?
