colour coding/renault sport badges

Can anyone tell me if the 172s door gaurd trim/spoiler etc is painted or is it just coloured plastic because I was thinking of spraying my dynamiques black plastic bit but have seem peoples astras where the paints chiped off or peeling off - will it was long? how much will it cost? is it really worth bothering?

Also on the 172 im after the silver door badges and the renault sport badge on the boot but these cost over £50 from renault so does anyone know anywhere cheaper than this?

Can you fit 172 side sills to a normal clio or do you have to have the bumpers and wings?

Ive got a 6 cd disc multi-changer and i carnt figure out how the hell it fits in that plastic thing under the passenger seat like the 172.

Thanks guys.

can anyone add more info? like how do you fit the changer under the seat? anyone got a pic?

What do people think... 2.0 door badges or 1.4 16v as they are or 1.4 16v sprayed silver?

okay, scrap side sills idea :(

looks like the plasic bits will have to be a main dealer job - they are quite reasonable in price for a main dealer (harrats £25 per hour).

in the models with cd changer, the plastic tray is scrapped, and some mad cd changer butt clamp is used to hold it in place.

i dont get you about the silver badges????

like what would look better:

172 2.0 16v silver door badges or

1.4 16v as it is or

1.4 16v sprayed silver?

Is spraying these plastic bits classed as a mod?

Dude how about this:

Remove 1.4 badges, sand 1.4 off, smooth and prime the badge paint body colour and put back on.

Dont get 172 badges.. never badge up a car it just looks sad. by all means debage but never badge up.

Spray the 1.4s silver for a better effect. See my above comments about the renault sport badge.

At the end of the day its your car, but you did ask our opinions.

yes but that just screams standard 1.2 and anyway, the disscussion is about having silver badges unless i sprayed a 16v one silver but it would be cheaper just to do mine.

what black plastic bits are painted on the 172? does it include that bit near the mirrors and the boot button?
