colouring badges...

saw a post by another member, cant remember who, who coded the renault diamonds red and the door badges, loved it!

was thinking about doing mine yellow, got a black 04.
also, im gonna slam it on some coilovers when i get some money,and was thinking of powdercoating the wheels, ive got red calipers and drums, and i was thinking about doing the calipers and drums the same yellow, or leaving them and powdercoating the wheels yellow.

anybody got any ideas? i know may not be everyones cup of tea but i think it looks good!

also, how do i get the renault diamonds off to spray, do they clip off or will i have to mask them on the car??

i think you should do the wheels in yellow but if you do get your drums and calipers done black

yeh, was thinking that, when im finished i want it coloured like that, slammed on coilovers and maybe rear 3 windows tinted, don't want to chav it up, but i think that will look nice, decided to keep my car for a few more years, but i want to keep some interest in it so gonna waste some money!

anyone know how to get the diamonds off??

it's down 60mm mate, just on springs at present but on the lookout for a coilover kit as we speak. I've emailed some more pics your way

Did you mask off the 16V bit ? Also did you lacquer over the badges ?

Yes I masked off the 16v with tape, then when dry i removed the tape and laquered over all the badge to seal it so there's no 'edges' so to speak.

ride is harsh but I've had them on 6 months now and getting sick of the bumps! lol! As for rubbing tho, none whatsoever, I added 5mm spacers to rear cos they would have rubbed inner arch liners as I have 205 tyres fitted instead of 195's. Will keep ya in mind when I swap the springs.

im not too bothered about the ride, the seats have got enough spring on them!
i want it low asap really, but wont be getting coilovers for a bit cos i've got other stuff to buy, so will be a compromise untill i can get them!
just checked the badge and came off easy enough, which is good, havent checked the back as didnt want to pull it to pieces in the dark!

i'm not too bothered about the ride either really, just sick of people complaining in passenger seat! lol! Mine was a quick fix till I found coilies too, just seeing what's about now. I know someone selling some just slightly over budget so maybe soon...?

Don't attempt the rear in the dark mate, it's abitch with linkages and stuff. You'll fook it up if you can't see properly trust me!

not sure if its best for me to mask it off on the car, ill have a look tomorrow at it, but don't want to have to go to renault and say fix my boot please, although could claim it on warranty!!!

i want coilovers, but until ive got the money i could manage with springs!
if i see some for a good price then ill get them - springs i mean.

been looking at fk coilovers, anyone heard anything good about them?

when im done with it, i want it coloured badges, same with alloys, slammed on coilovers, and ill have 45mm eagle f1's aswell, so if i slam it 80mm, and eagles at 45mm it'll be 90mm lower than standard!!!

god damn speed bumps!
