Just had a set of these delivered and wanted to check if anybody has them at the moment and if so how they found fitting them. It seems there is now just a single bolt that attaches to the strut top. On the oe top mounts there is a 17mm to clamp the spring cap and bottom part of the mount which means you can slot the spring and strut in complete and then thread the top part of the mount, job done.
Questions:
Do you need to have the springs compressed when fitting the compbrake mounts?
I am fitting new cup dampers at the same time and the strut wants to keep disappearing after being extended. Any tips for keeping this extended?
Do you bolt up the top mount before or after attaching the strut to the hub?
