Computer reset itself!!

Washed my 172 on saturday, went to cinema on the night and when I came out and started my car up, the computer reset itself?! It had been raining while i was in cinema. Any ideas? This the second time this has happened, the last time was March'06.
Must be an anual thing. lol

Had you battery gone dead, if it had the likely hood is all that has happend is the ECU has defaulted back to Factory settings.

Alterantively there is a fault with the ECU/Wiring apart from that I am not really to sure?????

PMSL Mine is finally telling the right time after 6 months of not be ar3d to change the clock

My trip computer has started to do this too, not sure why?

The head unit is still storing it's presets.

My computer resets itsself whenever its very cold, I have kind of got use to it. Always wonder what the problem is though?

Mine did it when the battery was on the way out, and never has since I got a new battery.

May be just the first sign the battery is starting to struggle.

Its the original battery. My 172 is an 02 plate. Probably makes sense! Cheers
