confused about amps ---> newbie :D

hiya, basically want to upgrade my system, currently have a pioneer HU running sum infinity 8cm speakers on front and rear.
what i want to do is to get 6x9 on the shelf with an amp. then latter on when i get some cash I would stick in a sub.

Now what I am confused on is this 2/4 channel amp.
will i be able to get an 2 channel amp and run 2X 6x9s and a sub or do i need to get a 4 channel amp to do this and run 2x 6x9 and a sub.

also as a have a pioneer HU, was thinking of going with a pioneer amp, but are there better ones ie JBL, sony, Kenwood etc... which are you gys running.

get a 4 channel, an amp with high and low pass filter would be ideal

right 6x9s arnt a good idea with sub

you need a 4 chanel if you want to run 6x9s and sub off it
but as i say dont get 6x9s get monoblock amp to run sub or 4 chanel and run front speakers off it and power sub and run the rears off the headunit

do you really need a sub or is this just for down maccy ds carpark or do you actually want sound quality ??

not too bothered about the sub, more into the music....like i said will get a sub in hte future, so not too bothered about the sub now.

will do the fitting myself so just need a amp wiring kit thats about £20~ and some MDF for the shelf and amp.
