Confusion Regarrding Servicing

  Titanium 182
Hi all Im due to be getting my 182 as soon as I find one I like, but despite a lot of searching, both this forum and Google I am still getting very mixed results regarding cambelt and aux belt intervals, what I seem to get on average is AUX at every 36k miles or 4 years, and cambelt at 72k or 4 years, but people generally change both every 36k or 4 years. Some of the other results say the cambelt MUST be changed every 36 or 4 years, and I have spoke to a dealer today who told me the cambelt is 60k miles, I hate to post this as I know how annoying it is when such a question is covered so frequently but I really don't want to buy one with an overdue belt change and cost myself a lot of money!

Thanks all

oh and I will add that I have read the stickies regarding mileage which said at 36k miles it was an A and B service, not the C which meant belts are replaced, however I've seen a screenshot from a .pdf from what was entitled 172 servicing and it said AUX at 36k, and seeing as though they are very similar this threw me even more lol

  Whichever has fuel
Cambelts 72k or 5 years, whichever comes first.

Aux belt 36k or 3 years, whichever comes first.

Cambelt is a specialist job ONLY.

Per the service manual, aux belt 36k/5yrs, cam belt 72k/5yrs.

Had my aux and cam belt done early personally, mainly as a specialist had a good deal on

More than likely Dan, that's just what it says in my service book. Always thought it was 36k/3yr tbh, at least that's what I worked towards.

No on appears to know if it's 5 years or 3, it's all myths and Chinese whispers, butmy service book says 5 years.

Well thanks for the replies I think I will make sure the AUX has definately been done then and maybe not be so strict on cambelt as it seems to vary quite alot from 3 to 5 years, best of just finding one with fresh belts all round tbh!
Thanks
