Conic Air Intake on 2007 Clio Mk3 troubles

Hello all, new to this forum so forgive me if this isn't the correct place for this.

I am thinking of fitting a conic air filter on my 2007 Clio Mk3, however, I am confused as to a rubber hose that would normally be connected to the top of the stock intake.

If I were to fit a conic air intake (such as the one pictured below), what would I do with this hose? To my knowledge, there would be nothing for it to connect to on a cone filter, and not knowing it's purpose, I'd rather not leave it unconnected.

I have attached an image of my engine bay in which the loose hose can be seen, and I'm wondering if I fitted a cone filter, what should I do about the hose?

Pretty sure that’s the crank case breather pipe mate. Get a small filter to put on it, or a silicone hose for the air filter which has a branch to accommodate the breather pipe.

as above measure diameter and get a breather filter for it like this:

The silicone hose you mention, would something like the one included in the kit pictured below do the job if I found a way to connect the two hoses together?

Yeh that would do mate. Just anything to stop it sucking in sh*t. I had a square of cloth cable tied over a breather as a temporary bodge.
