Connecting IPod to Standard 182 CD-Player

  Z4 Coupe 3.0 Sport
What's the best way to do this?

I am looking at just getting a lead i can plug from Ipod to Stereo (Aux in?!?) and not any FM transmitters or holster etc. Are there any leads you can buy to do this that go behind the stereo?

Thanks,
Al

Do a search on here for Dension - Plugs into the CD changer port, allowing control of the ipod from h/unit and stalk. Been using mine for 18 months or so now.

That's the set up I have.

The one for tuner/update list stereos is the one you need.

Picked up my Black Gold 182 last night

And i've had one of the Densions delivered this morning, so i am going to be fitting it this weekend. What tools will i need to get the stereo out? Will i need the appropriate keys or something else...?

I plan on putting the cable from the back of the stereo round the back of the dash and into the glove box, so that then i keep the i pod in the glovebox whilst it is in use. This doesn't seem to be a great distance for the cable to travel, so seems relativly easy? Will i need to take any components off the dash? ie glove box?

With the headunit out you can feed the cable into the glove box easily.

I ran mine through the whole for the latch or you can remove the glovebox light and fed it through there. No need to remove anything bar the h/unit.
