Connects 2, aux lead or new headunit

What is the benefit of paying say £29 for the Connects2 compared to the aux lead for say £8 on ebay?
The Connects2 doesn't charge the phone or give you the ability to use the steering wheel mounted stalk but is it worth the extra money.
Would an upgrade to a new headunit with bluetooth be a good way to go?
I love music but at the moment I use the little FM transmitter which works great outside my house but when I drive anywhere it is just rubbish.
I have done a bit of searching but can't seem to find what I am looking for.

Can't use the aux lead with the Tuner headset, you need to use Connects 2.

With Update headunit you can use the Aux lead.

Or just get a new Kenwood digital headset and do away with it all

Perfect thanks for that. Just went out and checked and my one is a Tuner List.
For not a lot more money it might be worth getting a new headunit.

If you dont use CD's anymore, like most dont....

HEADUNIT (better options are available at higher costs, of course)
Stalk control adapter (optional)
Stereo - adapter lead (in conjunction with above)

This set-up, combined with a small sub (underseat, or boot-mount) and some fettling of the filters on the heard unit to cut the bass to the OEM speakers, will make for a decent system without the need to start changing out speakers. Also, it's 100% removable for when you go to sell the car on, and then use it in your next motor
