Converting 172 exhaust to twin-tip 182 exhaust?

I was just wondering if it's possible to convert from 172 to 182 exhaust? I realise the rear bumper would just go straight on but, would the same apply for the rear exhaust section? (from the cat backwards) My main concern is the length and whether or not the ends would mate up properly, if at all. If anyone's tried this before I'd be very grateful for your input. Cheers

k-tec do a 182 look exhaust for the 172, dont see the point myself.

You cant put a 182 exhaust on a 172 because teh wheel well is in the way, but you could buy a looky likey from k-tec or have one made

You can't just fit the 182 exhuast because the 172 has a spare wheel bay, the 182 doesn't have this.

As haitch said, K-Tec do one that will fit the 172 and make it look like the 182.

Sorry, it doesn't look crap but the standard 172 down-turned exhaust (as on mine) doesn't exactly look sporty, i think the 182 twin exit is much improved. Cheers, billybob

awwww crap, i just bought a 182 twin exit exhuast to fit to my 172 from ebay! Thought they'd fit straight on!! Is there any way to get it on?

Dont think so mate.... as the 172s have a spare wheel well so is not a straight swap.

You could have had my 182 exhaust for free as ive recently replaced it lol.

To be honest, the standard 182 exhaust isnt brilliant.... doesnt last very long and IMO doesnt sound meaty enough, so prob best just sticking it back on e-bay for same price, and possibly getting the K-tec one if you want the 182 look. Although rather expensive.

I have just ordered myself a 182 look a like exhaust for my 172 mk2... any 1 fitted one of these, if so how easy was it?
