Has done 98k or so
Red
Few dings and scrapes (one of the sideskirts needs painting because someones touched it up with the wrong f**king colour paint, idiots)
Looks like a rock hit the bonnet and again, they've touched it up with the wrong colour paint.
Rest of the paint seems OK, not washed it yet (but was pretty clean when I picked it up)
Interior seems in pretty good shape given its on nearly 100k, certainly in far better condition than the Megane I saw last week also with lots of miles on it
Only thing I've discovered that's working a bit slowly atm is the drivers side folding mirror, but not exactly the end of the world (and the internet seems to suggest it's an easy fix?)
No squeaks or rattles on the interior thus far, radio works, A/C works (now that I've worked out how to turn the a/c on), engine goes vroom
It's probably going to need new pads and discs (at least discs) on the front sometime soon, probably do the whole lot (had them knock money off for that, and the potentially paintwork that I might end up having to do - doesn't really concern me though, the paint)
First thoughts after less than 100 miles with the car
- It is a dickhead magnet in the same way the M3 was
- The view out the back is comical, but on the other hand very helpful. If I can't see the lights on the car behind me, they are about the right distance away, if I can see their lights below the spoiler/wing thing, they are dickheads, if lights above, further away
- The side mirrors are very good
- The seats are comfy, nice and huggy
- Tiniest bit of bolster wear on the drivers side but it's minimal
- I like the way the dash is laid out, the speedo up top is cool and the little VTEC light
- VTEC and VTEC noises, I didn't see the appeal before
- Not as chuckable as say a Clio, but feels way more solid
- The damping is an acquired taste that I will probably get used to
- Seems plenty quick enough for road driving
- Stereo works
- Xenons are always fun
- The aux port and the 12V port in the armrest are cool (and I think there's a USB port too)
- I've no idea if it has an LSD
- Clutch pedal seems OK, not light but not mega stiff. I think there's a knack to not being too harsh with the gearchanges so that it slots into gear a bit smoother, MX-5 is exactly the same
- It doesn't pop out of third like I've heard some of them do
I'm sure more will spring to mind at some point. Will get some more pictures up during the week (once I've put the two I've already taken up)
