cooling fan issues

Hi all, once again the french shite has decided not to run as it should, while out yesterday the clio got a bit too warm for my likeing & has done this a few times before, so the usal wak the heater on & all is well.. so tonight i had a looky to see if the cooling fan kicks in but after running it for 20 mins & seeing the temp needle rise above its normal position the cooling fan still didnt kick in :dapprove: so i put the testers on the fan conections & didnt get a reading so where would you guys suggest i start looking?

Also the little 1.2 seems to be getting a little tappy, its on 80,000 so reckon it could just need the tappets adjusted?

Try running a current to the fan to see if it turns. If not, then it could be broken.
If the needle is still rising, then i dont think you have a temp sensor problem.

Best start with the fan motor first.
