Couple new mods

  Black Gold Trophy
Not really anything to write home about, but fitted some new carbon foglight surrounds and painted my grille black gold as I didnt think the standard bluey colour really looked good against the black.
Excuse the tape, the adhesive was still drying!
Opinions welcome (even the negative ones!) :approve:

Nah! way too much effort to paint the lower grille too! I just removed the grille from the bumper, washed it with fairy liquid, fully dried it with the aid of a heat gun :), then wiped down with IPA (alcohol degreaser), blew all the dust off with a hair dryer, masked up the area that sits under the bonnet. Then gave it a light puff with some primer (didnt completely cover it), then waited 2 mins, then carefully went over with black gold in light coats, waited 20 mins with it sat next to a heater, then put the laquer on in light coats then with a heavy coat as its too complicated to flat and polish to get a shine on it. Let it harden over night before driving though or it will easily be chipped off.

If that was the process for the top grille im sure it would be easy enough to do the lower too. Interesting though, let us know how it holds up

love the grille big thumbs up however, carbon is so "Max Power" once you start there's no stopping it'll be dash inserts followed by wing mirrors, rear spoiler, diamond, rear bumper insert, door bullets, gear stick insert, thumb grips and then centre console........ :p

I just cant be arsed with the lower grille, the pieces are so thin you can barely see the colour.

I see what you mean about carbon, and I've had the rear trim on order for ages, but seriously I know my limits! I wont be going all out with it.
