can you check your cpu temperature in windows. i know you can in the bios but can you do it without having to shut down and go into the bios

get a program called everest, it tells you everything you need to know about your pc, great program!!

MBM5 is good too, just sits in the system tray and tells u what u need to know without getting in the way.

about 40 to 50 degrees idle.

really depends what processor, what fan, and what cooling compounds u are using.

p4's u shud be looking at about 40-45 idle, 55-60 max, depending on ur overclock etc. Prescott core P4's run hotter than the rest too.

Athlons shud be about 35-40 idle and about 50 maxed out, lik I say tho, againdepends on core and overclock.

Ive got a P4 Prescott 2.8ghz overclocked to a stable 3.6ghz and thats 45 idle and 60 maxed out.
