Crack in engine mount/battery tray

  '02 Ph2 172
I've been suffering from the classical subframe knock again, or so I thought. I changed the mounts about four months ago, and after that everything was fine. Progressively since then (especially after a track day) it all got worse again and has now reached ridiculous levels. I figured the dog bone bushes (changed to PF) had gone or something like that. They hadn't. I moved the engine as far forward on the right-hand mount, with no improvement. Removing the battery I found this where the tray meets the strut tower (see exact location here). Also, there is a crack on the brace that is in-line with the engine mount.

Two questions rise to mind.
1) Is this a usual problem?
2) Is it easy to find a replacement part, and if so, how bloody expensive is it? Does anyone have the part no.?
3) Is this part exclusive to the Sport, or even to the ph2 Sport?

Replies will be greatly appreciated!
