Crashed my Clio... help.

Damn bud, sorry to hear that. I went out in my mates Land Rover tonight and we were sliding a fair bit... even laughed when I saw a 106 spin slowly when it pulled out of a car park (didn't hit anything)

They came and took it today around 11:30 :)

This was about 2 hours before i rolled into a wall...

And this is a quick snap i took this morning so show the very little damage that actually happened...

:( lol

lol... that little bump was a write off!

Had the car since last May, was planning on changing it anyway...

So i now have £4k to spend on a new car... hmm.

£4k minus excess of £450 (parents will make it up.)

33k miles, 05 plate - pretty much in top condition :(

172 is a no no, still only 17!

Guy across the road from me has pretty much the same car, has smashed it up 3 times since passing his test in December, all 3 have been worse smashes than that and yet each time they have repaired it :s

Reanult stated on the phone it would be over £4k to reapair...

I do find it hard to believe, however they have paid out at a great price and i can't complain!

Next in line is a Mark 3 i think, have got a soft spot for the Dynmaique S! (Still will only be a small engine tho, 1.4!)

Wen't into a Renault garage to have at look at one - they had a phase 2 parked next to it... and there is no comparison. Mark 3 is the way forward.

Look at the first page of the thread... air bag came out LOL! wasn't even a big impact, as you can tell from the front end.

Top of the dash flipped up and hit the windscreen aswell.

my car cost £3500 to fix and it needed new bonnet, bumper, wings, light and rad... however the airbags didnt fire.

I can fully understand where £4000 came from using genuine parts.

I'd go for a mk2 Dci 80 if I was you mate. They're torquey and very economical. Remap will see 110 bhp aswell.

Shame about that, 4k seems quite reasonable if the airbags deployed. The slam panel etc will be bent to f*ck as well.
