Cubase - Recording Issue

Having trouble getting Cubase SX3 to recognise my Audio input?

I am using a Creative X-Fi card, tried all the inputs but Cubase will not record anything? anyone got any ideas?

The audio is coming from my Mixer from my turbtables, have a Phono in back of REC OUT on mixer to 3.5mm jack in back of sound card? Arghhhhhhh its annoying!!!!!

Have you got the correct recording device setup in vista?

right click the speaker icon and click "recording devices"

Also can windows sound recorder pick up anything cos if it doesn you know its cubase.

Eeeeee cubase.. ace for recording. What mic are you using, could look into it

If it's just for recording DJ sets then try Audacity, it's so simple to use.

Wouldn't be surprised if Vista doesn't like Cubase. I never used to record straight into Cubase anyway

I use Audacity to cut samples for my tracks. Its so straight forward to use

Audacity worked, but through my onboard sound.... the f**king STUPID X-Fi CARD IS s**t WITH VISTA!!! ARGH!!
