well its the moment of truth. My car has gone in today for the following reasons:

AKTIS updates - rattling suspsension, replacement rear brake limiter valve, thunking gear change, 4000 rpm rattling exhaust.

rear spolier brake light

rear washer airlock

Seat repair

Rattling drivers side windows and dash

Oil change & filter change

Sticky clutch

Dodgey brake pedal

Squeaky brakes

And they say they are gonna get it all done in 1 day? me thinks not.

They will probably do 1 job, and just pretend the others are done!!!

Wish me luck!!! Ill let u know what gets fixed after testing!!!

no mate, im at work. My old man is taking mine. I have given my oil to put in me for me, dont have time to do it myself!!! Gonna ask for the empty tub back though. Dodgey sh*ts will probably keep it otherwise and sell it, and just use the stuff they have there!! Wats yours in for?

Mines going on to have the PAS sensor (down near alternator) swapped as it has a minor leak, so not serious...

Ill check theyre putting your oil in, what is it?!

Mate mine has been in all week for suspension mounts ,engine mounts ,window rattle, and rear brakes. Hopefully it will be done today

My dad drove past and the car was in the exact same place as where he left it at 9am. So he rang em and gave em a real going over. They said they had been digging out the aktis information?!?! Yeah right for 5 hrs! There is no way they will get it all done today. Looks like im stuck with my sisters 106 quicksilver for a while :-(

Well it was in the workshop being messed with when I was there and I saw them move it out just as I left, so its had work done on it...

Well got the car back Saturday morning, they have ordered some parts for the akits update: the suspension mounts, a new part of the exhaust and the rear brake limiter valve. The guy said the other stuff has been done by the mechanics. So got in the car, tried the rear washer and water started pissing in through the rear window. Dad went mad, bollocked em and made em do it there and then. They forgot to hook the water pipe back up, and that was probably the problem in the 1st place, not an airlock. It took them about 30 seconds to take the spoiler off, and in the past they have needed it a full day just to change the spoiler. The rear spolier brake light is not working - hurray! As for all the other things, well i dont think they have touched them. The main thing thats doing my head in is the sticky clutch. Its a nightmare driving into work in the morning. cant control the car in heavy traffic at all!

The other things they havent looked at are:

rear washer airlock

Seat repair

Rattling drivers side windows and dash

Sticky clutch

Dodgey brake pedal

Squeaky brakes.

So when i go in next monday im gonna tell em about those things AGIAN!

I think they change the oil, it looks really clean on the dipstick, and the oil filter looks brand new. But what the f**k do i know! They could of used any oil! Wat the f**k was i thinking giving them a tub of £40 oil!

Rick wat did they look like they were messing with when u were in?

probably trying to cut the brake cos ive have been such a pain in the arse with them. Actually bollox - if they did everything right the 1st time round my car would have only been in twice, not 5 times!! So its their fault. how can u really tell if they changed the oil and filter?Or is there no way of knowing now? I should of done it myself but im too bloody lazy! U think they are really that sly that they wouldnt fill it up with the stuff i gave em?

Mark the filter before hand, so you can tell and check the oil colour on the dipstick...

balls. I didnt think of that mate. Well its been done now. The filter does look brand new......But its not gonna get much harm hidden away down there anyway so u cant really tell. The car does seem to be generally smoother, and it seems to have that kick back like when i first got it.

The oil on the dipstick was an extremely light colour, and its got a very strong smell to it. i think they have changed it. but whether its my oil or not is a mystery!!!

Yeah, mine was only in to have the PAS sensor swapped over, so I waited around and just went across the road to McDs for lunch...

Not really had any problems with them when its been in for work and all my stuff has been dealt with as it should be, although my mate Dave is the sales manager and his Dad owns the garage, so that helps!

Only thing they havent yet sorted is a new cover for the drivers seat as it arrived with a rip/snag in it and they ordered a new one, but as yet (nearly 3 months) it aint arrived. Not their faulot though, as its on back order from Renault.
