cup packs, got or not?

hi,
fairly new to clio's, looking at getting a 182 with cup packs or a trophy. i know the basic spec of a 182 with cup packs and can spot those with spioler packs and wheels. however i had seen something that said grey wheels could be an option on cars without the suspension upgrades. is there a way that cars with the cup packs can be identified?

can dealers check chassis numbers/reg plates for cup options? looks like im going to need to travel south to get one, which will be an arse! hope dealers like scottish bank notes! :rasp:

One way of checking if the car has cup chasis is to measure the bolt spacing on the front hubs. Should be 60mm centre to centre if the car is cup packed.

Ive never heard of cup packed cars with silver wheels unless theyve been refurbed/swapped. Defo didnt come from the factory like that

bolt spacing as in wheel bolt/pcd spacing or something different?

sorry it was grey wheels on 182 cars with no cup suspension.

yup trophy is an option but not 100% convinced yet. the shocks and rebuild costs are putting me off slightly. finding a lowish mileage one will be a challenge as well.

Do some research. The cost of rebuilding the Trophy shocks is no greater than replacing the dampers on a 182. Dampers can and will fail on any car,the Trophy's no different.

Warren- Could you feel a difference going from a 182 to the trophy? Better all round car or nothing you would notice unless you bombing around country lanes all day?

Feels different within 10secs. Such a well sorted standard set-up. I will have one again.
